The Snug Cove terminal forms an essential link between Bowen Island and West Vancouver communities for residents and visitors alike. BC Ferries began drafting the Snug Cove Terminal Development Plan (TDP) in 2020, which is currently undergoing internal approvals. For updates please visit the Snug Cove Terminal Development Page. Our teams continue to work with local First Nations and stakeholders on the terminal development plans and required approvals. This document will guide future changes at the Snug Cove terminal and help BC Ferries develop this terminal in a cost-effective, phased and efficient way over the next 25 years.
As a part of the TDP, BC Ferries is preparing to update the Snug Cove terminal. For information on the terminal upgrade, engagement opportunities and current status of the project, please stay tuned to this page.

We understand the impact a berth closure can have to the community. With that in mind, and with the input and involvement of Bowen Island Municipality, we plan to take the following steps to help mitigate disruption:
Alternate service (water taxi) will be provided to foot passengers in place of any affected sailings
Free parking will be provided in Horseshoe Bay prior to and during berth closures
Additional traffic control and marshalling as required
Are there other mitigation measures, or important community dates or events we should consider? (Click 'Go to Discussion' to provide your answer)
