Traffic flows BOTH ways! Stop the gridlock in BOTH EAST & WEST Denman terminals!

May 22nd is just an example of what happens when only 1 direction is taken into consideration and by creating more parking on 1 end will NOT solve the problem. Denman backs up at both EAST & WEST! By adding the larger ferry on one end Denman now receives 2 times the amount of traffic without the support of 2 functioning ferries or 1 larger ferry that can handle the demand. The Baynes Sound Connector Im sure was also not built to withstand the constant strain of shuttling required. Theres no more room for parking at Denman West. There needs to be a better solution than more parking at ONE terminal! Flaggers are also not there to support beyond the Denman parking lot. So, today for example we have 3 roads of traffic merging into 1 lane without any support of flaggers or police directing traffic. Yes, the traffic flows BOTH ways. Find a solution for BOTH ends of Denman. Denman residents want to feel safe on their roads and emergency vehicles need to be able to get through. Is it going to take a serious accident to fix this? Again, the traffic jam happens at BOTH ends of the island.

Until the unsafe condition created at Denman East has a SAFE fix, will BCF please commit to having flag personnel in attendance.

What are the terms of reference for your third party facilitators from Spur?

BC F, develop ideas for a ferry, especially in peak months, to Hornby direct. Travel to Hornby shouldn't be a Denman problem.
