Extended berth closure and sailing schedule for SGI network
FEBRUARY 12, 2026 UPDATE: Extended berth closure and SGI sailing schedule
Due to a delay in the new steel ramp fabrication for the Village Bay life extension project, the Berth 1 closure will be extended until March 18, 2026. As a result, the revised Southern Gulf Island (SGI) network sailing schedule will also remain in effect through March 18.
The online sailing schedule is updated and can be found here under the Southern Gulf Islands section. The current printed SGI schedule will remain as is while the next date band will now start March 19. Our Customer Service Centre team will be in touch with customers with updated booking information. We recommend subscribing to service notices for the routes you'd like to receive notifications for. For support navigating the online schedule, please contact Customer Care.

FEBRUARY 4, 2026 UPDATE: Otter Bay Terminal life extension project - berth closure delay
BC Ferries has received a Notice of Delay from the contractor, impacting the planned berth closure from March 6 to March 10, 2026. Due to the timing and circumstances, the closure will now be postponed until fall 2026. This five-day closure is being rescheduled to allow for essential construction work, including off-site fabrication. Prioritizing safety, this change aims to complete the work efficiently in one closure, minimizing disruption to ferry services and the community. In the meantime, we will proceed with planned safety upgrades that will not affect service.
