Westview Ratepayers Society Engagement: Changes to route 17

Representatives from BC Ferries joined the Westview Ratepayers Society’s town hall event virtually on June 29, 2026, to discuss recent adjustments to route 17 service between Comox (Little River) and Powell River (Westview).

Our team gave a short presentation (available here) outlining the rationale, intended outcomes and early data on the recent adjustments to the route. We also heard directly from community members about online accessibility concerns, medical travel challenges and how these changes might impact them moving forward. The meeting also provided a valuable opportunity for community concerns to be raised and documented, and for our teams to listen.
