Port McNeill Ticket Booth Project

To support safe and reliable service at the Port McNeill terminal, BC Ferries will be conducting site investigations on August 10 and 11, 2026, as part of early planning work to evaluate options for replacing the aging ticket booth and making associated site and operational improvements.

The investigations will include utility locating and geotechnical drilling to gather information about existing site conditions and infrastructure. This information will help inform future planning, design considerations, project scope, and cost estimates.

No impacts to ferry service or schedules are anticipated. However, customers may notice increased noise while drilling activities are underway.

To safely accommodate drilling equipment, there may be temporary pedestrian routing changes near the terminal waiting room and ticket booth area between sailings and the outdoor eating area will be temporarily unavailable. Any route adjustments will be clearly marked, and customers are asked to observe posted signage, stay outside of designated workspaces and follow directios from terminal staff.

The project is currently in the planning phase, and no decisions have been made regarding future construction, timing, or project scope.

We appreciate our customers' and the communities patience as this work is completed.
