Proposed future improvements to the uplands area of Sturdies Bay terminal offer the following key features:

  • Drop-off/pick-up access loop through the terminal with space for 3-4 vehicles
  • Transfer traffic lane with capacity for 10 vehicles 
  • New ticket booth with public and employee washrooms
  • Angled parking/pick-up stalls on Sturdies Bay Road near the trestle, with shoulder walkway
  • New covered waiting area near existing vendor pad
  • New water treatment system in the upland area
